What does the compliance plan cover?
We keep your business in good standing. Two plans with Year 1 discounts: Local LLC is $2/month year 1, then $10/month ($100/year) - covers annual report filing, compliance monitoring, and deadline alerts. Full Service is $3/month year 1, then $15/month ($150/year) - includes everything in Local plus registered agent renewal. You cover actual state filing fees when due - we handle the filing for free. Are there any hidden fees?
No. Formation is $150 (our fee) + state filing fees. Compliance starts at $2/month year 1 (then $10/month or $100/year). Full Service with registered agent is $3/month year 1 (then $15/month or $150/year). We show you the exact cost before you pay. No surprise charges.
What are state filing fees?
State filing fees are set by your state's Secretary of State. Wyoming is $100. Delaware is $90. Nevada is $425 (includes Articles, Initial List, and Business License). You'll see the exact fee for your state during checkout.
Is the EIN really free?
Yes. The IRS does not charge for EIN applications. Many competitors charge $50-$99 for this free service. We include it at no extra cost. We file Form SS-4 on your behalf and you get your EIN typically within 1-2 business days.
What about the registered agent?
A registered agent receives legal and tax documents on behalf of your business. It's required in every state. Registered agent service is included free for your first year. After year 1, it's covered by the Full Service compliance plan ($15/month or $150/year).
Do you support C-Corp formation?
Yes. We offer Delaware C-Corp formation for $200 (our fee) + the $89 Delaware state filing fee = $289 total. Includes Certificate of Incorporation, EIN, corporate bylaws, registered agent (year 1 free), and compliance dashboard.
What about foreign LLC registration?
If you form in a state other than where you operate (e.g., Wyoming LLC but you live in Texas), you may need to register as a foreign LLC in your home state. We file this for free - you only pay the state's filing fee. Most formation services ignore this requirement entirely, leaving you out of compliance.
Can I get a refund?
If we haven't submitted your formation to the state yet, you can get a full refund. State filing fees are non-refundable once submitted.
