Privacy Policy

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: Name, email address, and password (hashed) when you create an account.
• Business information: LLC name, state of formation, EIN, business type, and owner information provided during the formation process.
• Sensitive personal data: Social Security Numbers (SSNs) are collected for EIN application purposes. SSNs are encrypted using AES-256-GCM before storage, and only the last 4 digits are stored in cleartext for display.
• Payment information: We use Stripe to process formation payments. We do not store credit card numbers. Stripe handles all payment data.
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and general platform usage analytics to improve the product.
• Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, and operating system for security and debugging.

We use your data to:

• Provide and operate the QuickBiz service
• Form your LLC and file required documents with the state
• Apply for your EIN with the IRS
• Generate your operating agreement and formation documents
• Send compliance reminders and deadline notifications
• Process your formation payment via Stripe
• Provide customer support
• Improve the product through usage analytics
• Send product updates and feature announcements (you can opt out)

We do not sell your data. We do not share your personal data with third parties except as required to operate the service (e.g., state filings, registered agent procurement).

We use the following third-party services to operate QuickBiz:

• Stripe: Payment processing for formation fees. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Northwest Registered Agent: Registered agent services for your LLC. Subject to their privacy policy.
• Supabase: Database and authentication infrastructure. Data is stored in US-based AWS data centers. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel: Application hosting. Subject to Vercel's Privacy Policy.
• Resend: Email delivery for order updates and compliance reminders. Subject to their privacy policy.

We take security seriously:

• All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption
• All data in transit uses TLS 1.3
• SSNs are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before database storage
• Passwords are hashed. We never store plain text passwords
• Infrastructure is hosted on SOC 2 compliant providers
• We conduct regular security reviews

No system is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please disclose responsibly to security@quickbiz.io.

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data. Some data may be retained for legal/tax compliance obligations.
• Export: Download your formation documents from your dashboard at any time.
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.
• Portability: Download your formation documents and business records at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@quickbiz.io. We will respond within 30 days.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:

• You can download your documents before deletion
• Account and personal data is deleted within 90 days
• Records related to state filings may be retained for 7 years as required by law
• Anonymized, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely

We use cookies for:

• Authentication (keeping you logged in)
• Session management
• Basic analytics (page views, no cross-site tracking)

We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to ad networks. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may break core functionality.

QuickBiz is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at privacy@quickbiz.io.

We may update this privacy policy periodically. We'll notify you of material changes via email and by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
